What to expect.
These are once-in-a-lifetime sessions. Images are handcrafted, artistically edited.
Here's what to expect from your session.
Meet & Greet
We will spend the first 10 minutes getting to know each other. It is important that your pup has time to sniff and become comfortable with the myself and the space. During this time I am also watching and learning your pup's personality and behavior in order to photograph them in their best "light".
The Photoshoot
We will use a variety of tables and flooring for your pup. Some pups take a little bit of time to warm up to the props, patience & treats are key during this time. Most dog warm up within 5 minutes, but some need a little more prep-time. We will take as long as needed to insure your pup is comfortable and ready for their close up.
Lighting : I use studio strobes (flash) lighting for my portraiture. If your dog is especially anxious about bright bursts of light please let me know so we can schedule you accordingly.
Backdrops : Currently I am featuring five backdrops : textured taupe, textured grey, sky blue, deep forest green, and gold. Depending on your pups comfort level we may use one or all three. If you have booked an outdoor session we will do several backdrops.
What to bring : Favorite treats, water bowl, bed, favorite toy.
Sessions are booked as an hour but may take less/more time. We end when I feel we have enough images of your pup. Some dogs warm up a little faster/slower than others and I adjust accordingly. Most sessions last 30 - 50 minutes. Outdoor sessions may take longer, up to 2 hours.
Post-Session
You will receive an online gallery to view your edited images. Total images included depends on your package.
You will be able to purchase additional images through your gallery.
How many images will I receive overall?
Three images are included in your session fee. However, depending on the comfort level of your pup you may have a gallery of 20-80 additional images to choose from. If you plan to purchase additional images, let me know prior to the session (not required, just helpful to know).
