Design for a different direction

Growing up, my sister, Kayla, has always been a strong-willed woman with one eye on her younger sisters and one eye on her future. She graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is now climbing the ladder with Accenture Consulting. Recently she's realized that life is calling her in a different direction, so she called me to help her express her true calling: event planning and design.

All I needed to know from Kayla was the business name, her color palette, and what mood would best represent the clients she wants to attract. With pen sketches surrounding me I took my ideas to the computer. At first I had a mental clog and only had the drive to make a pine cone (not my finest moment).

I did what every artist with a mental block would do: walk away and take a break! When I came back, flow kicked in and everything fell into place:

Logo development is an exciting step in the branding process and becomes the inspiration for everything else to come! I look forward to helping the woman who has always helped me.
